On Friday evening before the Crows-Swans match a statue of Ken Farmer was unveiled at the northern end of the Adelaide Oval. He is cast in perfect form – roosting the ball through for another goal. The MCG (and the city) was awash with the yellow and black of Richmond as 90,000 Tiger fans filled the stadium to watch their team make the Grand Final. Joe De Petro was ecstatic but he also couldn’t help but feel for the GWS supporters.
