Nothing in it or needs help?

  1. Thug. Always was. Interesting to read shite form bogans on FB re: the incident, and how many jump to his defence. After all the BS concerning the possible suspensions of Cotchin/Sloane/Walker; and the suspension of Dangerfield ALL for ‘transgressions’ during contested play, THIS type of incident is why the MRP was established. (Yes, I know it’s not the GayFL, but you know what I mean…).

  2. Not a good look. I thought he’d turned the corner now he’s done well in the media.

Apparently he made comments pre-game he’d respond if ‘targetted’.

Always a good boxer; pity he didn’t follow up a career in the sweet science.

    Glen!

  3. Apparently Hall took an early plea and was suspended for one match for all this?

I wonder what Sam McFarlane, former North Melbourne player whose career was virtually ended by Hall, thinks. His story is here:

  4. Nothing in the first one, but the second was Bugg-like.

  5. Violent thug that doesn’t deserve a voice in the AFL media

    Thanks for all that.

I can’t work out why he’d want to be back on the park if he is still just one niggle away from exploding like that.

Some people find contentment, some enlightenment. And some get given the “Good Bloke Pass” for life and rewarded with a perpetual series of endorsement and media work, on the back of his Hall of Fame glory.

The tribunal panel from 2005, former players Emmett Dunne, Richard Loveridge and Wayne Schimmelbusch has a lot to answer for.

  7. The Hall outburst i find the most unpleasant was when he clearly clocked st Kilda’s Maguire in the Preliminary Final, got reported, yet ended up playing in the Grand Final a week later.

I know people find conspiracy theories tedious and overblown,i do to, but there was no way Bary Hall playing in the AFL’s Sydney creation, was going to be rubbed out of a Grand final. Too many AFL $$ involved for that to happen.

    Glen!

  8. Who finished 3rd in 2005 and 2006? Ben and Barry have medals for you.

  9. The best part is that Hall’s team was unbeaten all year, but got pantsed in the 2nd semi and grand final.

  10. Only one week? Serious?

  11. A week! The QAFL should be ashamed. Is Barry a relative of Sir Joh?

  12. One week longer than hitting Maguire in the Preliminary final.

    Glen!

  13. Don’t you get double in a geand final? That means he actually copped half a week.

  14. Mark 'Swish' Schwerdt says

I’d really like to hear from the 2005 panel. Were they pressured in any way to come up with the result? Come to think of it, hearing from anyone on the MRP about their “independence” over the journey would be instructive.

  15. I’ve never believed the MRP to be independent. It’s even a matter of record that Andrew Dillon spends time in the room.
