Round 23 – Essendon v Collingwood: Pies’ annus horribilis ends with a whimper (Floreat Pica Society)
The good news is that Steve Fahey was reminded of the final round of 1987 while watching this week’s games – often considered the best round of footy in recent history. The bad news is Collingwood have inhabited a similar low rung of the ladder to that of 34 years ago…and in 2021 there were no last hurrahs, only a whimper.
