After Brisbane’s resounding victory over Port Adelaide (typified by Brisbane’s superior defence), Royboy Phil Hill is extremely confident in their chances for season 2020.

Cathi Johnston was nervous about her Eagles’ poor start to 2020. A massively improved performance on Saturday against Sydney gave her reason to hope that a return to Optus Stadium could kickstart West Coast’s season.

With the crowds back and some free-flowing footy being played, Sam Evans is loving the Lions’ approach to the 2020 season. Their win against the ladder-leading Port Adelaide gave him hope.

Coming off a couple of good wins, Matt Harvey’s Carlton couldn’t make up the ground as the Saints proved too strong at Marvel Stadium.

Nicole Kelly spends time with the kids at Port Fairy getting herself ready for the Pies clash against Essendon. The joy of the beach and the winter sunshine were the holiday highlights. Apart from young Daicos, the match wasn’t.

Almanac Cricket: Sir Everton Weekes – a tribute
Bob Utber is one of the lucky few who got to watch the West Indies’ three W’s tour Australia in 1951-52. Although the late Sir Everton Weekes may not have flourished down under, he still left his mark on Aussie crowds.
