Round 3 – Collingwood v Brisbane: A week like no other for the mighty Lions

A week is a long time in footy according to Sam Evans and for Brisbane FC that has certainly been so. The after the siren win eases the pain of the past week for Brisbane.

Round 6 – Geelong v Brisbane: I much prefer footy on a Sunday

There were a few signs that this might have been a good night for Sam Evans and his Lions, but there was no Miracle on Grass 3 as the Cats steamrolled their opponents in Sydney…and work still beckoned the next day.

Round 5 – Brisbane v Port Adelaide: Where does that leave us now?

With the crowds back and some free-flowing footy being played, Sam Evans is loving the Lions’ approach to the 2020 season. Their win against the ladder-leading Port Adelaide gave him hope.

Sam Evans was pleasantly surprised by the Lions as they managed to overcome the Eagles even without their vibrant and talismanic captain.

Brisbane managed to scrape past Fremantle in their round two encounter up at the Gabba. Despite taking home the four points, Sam Evans wasn’t convinced by the Lions’ shaky effort.

Sam Evans makes his Almanac debut, albeit under trying and unprecedented circumstances. Sam’s Lions couldn’t muster their usual heroics against the Hawks, but there was still plenty to take out of the match.
