We’re back at the Valley again this Saturday. It’s rarely been a happy punting ground for me. But then, as I’ve noted elsewhere, I’ve inherited a tendency to look for the traditional “bookies’ chances” and there is a suspicion that they don’t exist in Moonee Ponds.

Last week’s result’s threw open some positions in the top eight, making several of this week’s games crucial. I.E: tonight under the roof. It was midsummer this week in Sweden. Haiku Bob spent the weekend at the family’s summer house north of Stockholm on an island called Vätö. Beautiful spot.
