Vale J. Neville Turner, one of life’s great characters
J. Neville Turner was a great character who had many passions: cricket, tennis, soccer, music and the law. Sadly he died last Thursday. He was a dear friend of many, including those in the Almanac community associated with the Australian Cricket Society and the Australian Society of Sports Historians. Anthony ‘Gulbo’ Collins, known in these parts by his nom de plume ‘Mulcaster’, delivered these fine words at the funeral of his mother Pat. She was the personification of love.
