Pakistan-born leg spinner Fawad Ahmed has been granted Australian citizenship, paving the way for the former refugee to play test cricket. Almost 50 years ago another leg spinner born on the subcontinent, Rex Sellers, required Prime Ministerial intervention to wear the baggy green cap.
