It’s interesting to read now, given the escalation of T20 cricket, and also what has transpired in recent months, and the public’s response. It would be interesting to read John Harms’s view of cricket now, and also of the AFL (given his concluding comments way back then).

Vale J. Neville Turner, one of life’s great characters

J. Neville Turner was a great character who had many passions: cricket, tennis, soccer, music and the law. Sadly he died last Thursday. He was a dear friend of many, including those in the Almanac community associated with the Australian Cricket Society and the Australian Society of Sports Historians. Ian Hammet (Almanac member, and ACS stalwart) penned this tribute. No doubt we will hear more in the coming days. Vale Neville Turner.
