Round 18 – Port Adelaide v St Kilda: The End of the 2015 Season for Yoshi

Sunday, 2 August 2015

12:40 pm (ACST; 12:10 pm my time)

Adelaide Oval, Adelaide

First my words are: Yoshi’s 2015 Footy Season ended due to a big argument with a [email protected]#!ing lazy Korean b#%@! at an Australian (footy) pub in bloody Osaka.

I wish I did not need to hide some letters in the above sentence but have to do to maintain my written standard for the public. What I want to say here is I got angry very very much on Sunday afternoon.

As I had missed opportunities to watch Maddie’s match against Richmond on 19 July and the only one MCG match against Demons on 26 July, I really wanted to watch the game against Port Adelaide. But her laziness and rude behaviors when I asked her to broadcast my footy, I lost my temper. I felt like being Alistair Clarkson and Stevie Johnson.

[email protected]#*ing Korean said ‘what?’ to ask me to repeat what I had said. As I had to wait for 15 minutes due to her laziness (the pub was supposed to open at 1:00 pm on Sunday but she was late to get to work so I had to wait until 1:15 pm to get in), I had no choice rather than exploding.

Then the [email protected]#$% kicked me out. WTF!

I was very upset and shocked with feeling guilty to the mighty Saints.

Like Tony Abbott being said that he had problems with female parliamentary colleagues, I have issues with some Asian travellers.

Many Asian people booked rooms at our inns (Shouan and Sanjojuku) and then cancelled soon after bookings had been made. Also many Asian people staying at Sanjojku had disappointing attitudes, I had negative image of Asians and do not trust them at all. Then my frustration and stress towards them exploded.

Sadly the consequence was like what happened with our former coach Scott Watters and the veteran coach Mick Malthouse.

Indeed I left bloody Osaka because I started hating this massive city due to what happened at the pub.

But bad things kept happening. Listening to SEN on the train, the game was terrible. So I stopped listening to the live coverage and switched to listening to the Italian language audio.

At the end of the train journey, unfortunately unfriendly Japanese b#%&@ on the Hankyu train caused me to explode at Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto. My fire lasted minutes.

My emotion was the worst for the footy.

Other than footy coverage on the day, Mark Finey talked about Adam Goodes issue on the pre- and post- match programs. I was sick and tired to hear this issue. I like Finey but his shows on Sunday made me depressed.

I miss my Italian friend and my messages to other friends and my Facebook post on Sunday were “I want to go to / move to Rome, Italy (Italia).”

Sorry to the footy world, but my thought is that I wish I could go on a date with the Italiano on Sunday rather than trying to watch the footy.

I do not think I will go back to the Osaka footy pub any more. That means I will not watch footy this year. I am sidelined for months.

As I tend to analyse events, I will not be able to get along well with Asians or date a Japanese lady. I hate lying and misleading. I have good records with western people.

Sadly my Japanese boss points out my attitude to Asian people. I know I will not be able to overcome, sorry. Instead I should be like a top footy coach who has high visions and focuses on strengths. Maybe I should move to another work where I will see more western people or to another country to work with mainly western people. I wish I could be in Rome!

I am 42 but have never had a girlfriend in my life. Indeed I am only interested in western women. It would not be worth to wait such a long years to date a Japanese woman whose values do not meet my ones and who has no interest in the western world or the English language.

I want my future relationship being very unique like Nick Riewoldt who is married to an American beauty.

Here is my statement to the St Kilda Football Club:

To Richo, boys and coaches as well as club staff members,

I am very sorry that I was not able to be with St Kilda on Sunday even if I had wanted. Please forgive me what happened on that day and for not showing passion to you guys in front of the screen where I would watch the live coverage. Due to the incident, I will not be able to watch any game this year, but will be back in 2016. I hope I can move to the western world again next year and to be closer to you. Go the Saints!

I may write another footy report, but do not think I will have an opportunity to watch footy this year, sadly including Grand Final. I might have done worse thing than Chris Judd’s infamous chicken wing tackle in 2012. I might be copped by MRP.

All the best.

About Yoshihiro Imagawa

Love, passion and pride are seen on the footy that is the biggest part of my life. 1. St Kilda Club member: I am a passionate and crazy Sainter. Just hope we will win the second flag soon, especially after Dogs and Tigers having ended long premiership draughts. 2. The Osaka Dingoes Player and Public Relations Officer: Player number 44 that I chose to honour Stephen Milne with my wish being like a small forward like him. Lenny Hayes' hardworking attitudes are adopted on my trainings and practices. Nick Riewoldt's great plays are in my player audiobook too. 3. Writing: Here on the Almanac and also on the World Footy News. My skills utilise on great footy websites.

  1. Patrick O'Brien says

That is possibly the best thing I have ever read. And for what it’s worth, I rate Osaka as one of my favourite spots in the world. I had a hangover there once that science still hasn’t come to terms with. Hai!

  2. G’day Patrick,

Thanks for your comment. As everyone has different values and points of views, we have different opinions of particular places. It is good to hear that Osaka is your one of favourite spots in the world. Probably you got a hangover because of nice foods and beverages ad/or nice people (especially women)??

For me, I am not an all-round player. Even I think AFL coaches have different skills and targets to achieve their goals as well as strengths. Even I did not see footy while Grant Thomas or Ross Lyon was in charge at St Kilda, I guess that both coaches are different types of guys. I much prefer Thomo even he did not guide the boys to the Grand Final.
