Kate Birrell’s “Spectators” Art Show Reviewed

This week was the exhibition opening of fellow Almanac artist Kate Birrell.  Her show “Spectators” opened to good wine and food, a noisy, happy crowd and wonderful artwork.  The Almanac’s were on sale, as were Kate’s cards based on her artwork.

Walls were filled with bright coloured spectators at the races, at the football, and watching football in the pubs, and of course, Buddy and Spangher at it from Kate’s unique perspective and style.

As the Gallery is now open on request, please call Kate on 0400 444 138 and arrange to visit 1159 Glen Huntley Road, Glen Huntly or visit http://www.katebirrell.com/ to get your seasons cards or gifts.  Dates for the show are December 10th to December 24th.  There’s plenty of time to pop in and have a look.

  1. Hi Yvette,

Thanks for sharing the information. I had a look at Kate’s website and found her art works were great. But your art works are awesome too!

I am sad that I live too far away so I miss seeing the exhibition. Kate, I hope your exhibition is going well :)

  2. Great work Kate (and Yvette). Judging on his Round 23 Almanac piece I reckon that’s Callum O’Connor front right.
