ASSH (SA) – December Meeting plus Book Bonanza

The Australian Society for Sports History (SA) will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, 4 December at West Adelaide Football Club’s Richmond Oval. Usual dinner and chat from 6.00pm. Registration essential because of limited places!

Convenor: Bernard Whimpress

The evening’s format will include:

Show’n Tells (30 minutes for session)
Bring along an object that holds special significance for you and tell a story about it. But please be sharp about it. We’ll have a maximum of 6 speakers at five minutes each. If we get fewer responses that will enable an increase in time allowed.

John Mitchell’s 19th Quiz
The name of ASSH’s national journal is Sporting Traditions and John Mitchell’s Quiz is one of this group’s traditions. Next year when John reaches his 20th quiz it will be appropriate to officially grant him ‘Legend’ status. No doubt this year’s quiz will contain John’s customary mind-bending questions.
