VWFL Grand Finals this Sunday

This weekend is Grand Final Weekend in the Victorian Women’s Football League.

In the Victorian Women’s Football League Grand Final, Darebin Falcons line up against Melbourne Uni, Piranha Park at 2:30 pm.

In the Premier Division, undefeated Bendigo will play against Deer Park, 12pm this Sunday, September 18 at Piranha Park, Coburg.

Bendigo reached the Final after defeating Melbourne Uni by 11 points in the semi two weeks ago, while Deer Park advanced after defeating Port Melbourne.

In Division 1, undefeated Kew goes into their Grand Final against Darebin in what promises to be a thrilling contest. Darebin lost both games to Kew this year with the last time they met a narrow loss by 8 points. After narrowly defeating Whitehorse by 4 points and then pascoe Vale by 9 to secure a GF spot, Darebin has been living on the edge.

Kew will expect their side to repeat the effort in the Grand Final to confirm their status of the best team in the division.

The Division One Grand Final starts from 10am this Sunday, September 18 at Piranha Park, Coburg.

  1. Pretty sure the Division 1 GF has a bounce down of 10am. Should be a cracker. Darebin will fancy their chances but Kew may have too many big guns.

  2. And that’s the old Coburg City Oval, isn’t it, Dips?
Behind Sydney Rd – off Harding Street. Great suburban venue.

  3. Spot on ER

  4. Let’s not forget the State League at 2.30 when the mighty Falcons play for their 4th Premiership in a row. They play Melbourne Uni.
