Northcote Park FC: Three sets of twins in one team!

The mighty Northcote Park Football Club (known as the Cougars) prides itself on being a family club. On Sunday 29 March against Frankston YCW we lived up to this reputation by having three sets of twin brothers all play in the same side(s)

It’s highly unlikely whether any sporting team in the world would have had three sets of twins play for them at the same time.

In a proud, historic and perhaps record breaking occasion for the club we had the Liam & Janus Waldron, Marc & Andre Botoulas, Matthew & Daniel Brown all play both the Under 19 & Reserves games.

The boys all played very well in both games and acquitted themselves very well against (at times) much bigger opposition. They did their club and their families proud.

Not only are these boys good players they are fine and respectful young gentlemen as well.

The Waldron & Brown twins will be regulars in the 19s this year. All four boys played their recent junior football at one of our feeder clubs the Northcote Junior Football Club. Just to show how much they love the Cougars the Waldron boys travel all the way from Eltham to play at Northcote.

The Botoulas boys are only 16 and will join the mighty Cougars next year once their junior careers are finished at our other junior football club the mighty Preston Junior Football Club.
