My great mate, Zelko Zelac, drew the Footy Show logo all those years ago. He was a huge WEG fan, and doesn’t like the Knight Grand Final posters. So each year he draws his own new WEG-styled one.

Ripper – can you do me one for the 2011 night premiership? The 2010 WEG poster was so ugly that we co opted the 2003 losing one instead.
It is interesting to go back in time to look at all those WEG posters for Melbourne’s golden era. not only does the cartoon demon look like a complete dag, but – the devil wears sandshoes!

George, yeah, my old man actually worked with WEG, said he had a wicked sense of humour. Everyone would get back from their lunch break and find everything in the office, chairs, desks, coffee cups, neatly placed upside down. Stuff like that. All the time.
