Finals Week 2 – Hawthorn v Western Bulldogs: Preview from Geoff Gold and the Asia Hawks Network

AFTER A TYPICAL Hawthorn-Geelong game (spectacle, brilliant, why-are-they-so-close-and-why-do-we-lose-them, and look-forward-to-meeting-them-in-the-GF-as-we-always-win-the-sudden-death-games) the Hawks face a revitalised Footscray (WBFC) in tonight’s semi-final at the MCG. This is a most challenging assignment. In Indonesia, watch Hawthorn v Bulldogs with the Jakarta Hawks at Eastern Promise, Jl Kemang Raya No 5, Kemang; live from 4.30 pm WIB, Friday 16 September.

Note also, the 2nds team of Hawthorn’s VFA-affiliated club Box Hill again play in Victoria’s state Development League grand final on Sunday against the Casey Scorpions and intend to end their rotten run of four-consecutive Grand Final defeats in that competition. Still eligible due to long-term injury, Hawthorn-listed and 2014 AFL premiership player Matt Spangher will line up again alongside rookie-listed Lachlan Langford and Connor Glass. Go Hawks!
