Australia v India – Third Test, Sydney: A call for writers

The Third (Vodaphone) Test of the Australia v India summer of 2020/21 commences tomorrow at the SCG. Locked at 1-1 at this point of the series, there’s a lot to play for.

The Footy Almanac’s Citrus Bob Utber will cover each day of the game. However, due to the various restrictions regarding Covid and much to his frustration, CB will be watching from his Den in Mildura. It was either Sydney or Brisbane, so CB chose Brisbane as the more likely to work for him given the overall circumstances.

We would be delighted if Almanackers, either at the SCG or wherever their vantage point may be, can join CB and complement his daily reports.

Ever the modest one, CB feels that he may appear to dominate the Almanac’s coverage of each Test. Have no fear, CB, we feast on your appreciation of each day’s play and the peripheral anecdotes that accompany your coverage. In terms of the voice of summer, Channel 9 had Bill Lawry; The Footy Almanac has Citrus Bob!

CB’s report will be the first written word emanating from the SCG, so why not join him so that cricket tragics out there across the sporting landscape of Australia and beyond can read about the game before any other written media.

Just put your name down in comments box or email [email protected]  if you would like to join Citrus Bob reporting on any day or all days at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

  1. Put me down for a couple of day reports and a review/ preview of the match. An interesting and pivotal game ahead, both in terms of the cricket and the politics surrounding it!
