You Kick Like a Girl: Women in Football Exhibition at Red Gallery

Opening February 1 just in time for the AFLW Season, is a new exhibition at Red Gallery: You Kick Like a Girl: women in football.

This unique exhibition of art celebrates women’s football and features pieces by Almanackers and artists Yvette Wroby and Kate Birrell.

Red Gallery will also be selling copies of the 2017 Women’s Footy Almanac during the two weeks of the exhibition which of course, features Kate’s wonderful work on the cover.

The exhibition runs from 01 February with opening night on between 6-8pm and finishes on 18 February. Head to the Red Gallery website for more information.

Be sure to check it out and support some great artists promoting women in sport.

Hey Yvette, regretfully I cannot see me being able to attend opening night of ‘You Kick Like A Girl : Women in Football Exhibition’ at Red Gallery. Late that afternoon I will be at the opposite end of town at the Saints 2018 Player Sponsor Pre-Season BBQ at Linen House Centre, Seaford.

Have a great opening night with all your fellow artists and Almanackers. I very much look forward to viewing the exhibition during the first few weeks of February.
    Mazel tov!

Great Show! Many knackers in attendance. JTH looked a bit rough but all the others rose to the occasion.
As Molly says do yourself a favour.

  10. I’ve had a hard few weeks. Qld will do that to you. But, Citrus, you were in the peak of form, greeting people at the door, clerically, like you’d just distributed the Holy Sacrament. Excellent collection of works – well worth seeing.

  11. Love it.
Great stuff Yvette, Kate, Red Gallery.
I can picture you, Citrus Bob, at the door.
The yellow trousers? Or the tangerine?

  12. T’was an enjoyable evening.
Some very cool artwork and great to catch up with a few Knackers.
