The Monday Night Lament

The Monday Night Lament (sung to the tune of Peter Paul and Mary’s “Where have all the flowers gone.”)

by Yvette Wroby

Where have all Saint good games gone, Long time passing

Where have all the good ones gone,  Long time ago

Where have all the good wins gone, gone to others, almost every one

When will we ever win (a flag)

When will we ever win.

Where have all “the winning” go, long time passing,

Where have all the straight kicks gone, long time ago,

Where are all those games we snatched, gone to others almost every one

When will we ever win (a game)

When will we ever win.

Where have all the leaders gone, long time passing,

Where have Goddard and Reiwoldt gone, long time ago,

Where has all the confidence gone, gone to other men, every one

When will we ever win (a flag)

When will we ever win.

Where have all the spirits gone, long time passing,

Saw a glimpse, but then it’s gone, long time ago

Had a chance then it slipped away, all the Sainters sad again,

When will we ever win (a game)

When will we ever win (a flag)

Blues over Saints by 3 points.  I will leave more rational discussion and analysis to others.
