The Footy Almanac Podcast – Episode Lucky 13

This week, Matty Q and The People’s Elbow are joined on the couch by Ben Cuzzupe of ‘Bound For Glory News’ – the gateway drug of choice for the next generation of ‘yoof’ journalists and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Baker gets called up to the majors for a cameo appearance.

This week, our heroes discuss the success – or lack thereof – of Aussie Rules based computer games, consider if there’s a genuine generation gap in footy appreciation and get unnecessarily serious about journalism and footy. Is the journo/club/player relationship too cozy? Are some scribes merely ‘fans with typewriters’ and does the tail wag the dog when it comes to the all-important ‘access’ to players, clubs clubs and officials?

Have your safe word ready; this is Episode 13 of the Footy Almanac podcast.
