Round 9 – Adelaide v Collingwood Preview

When: Saturday 26th May, 2012 – 7:40PM

Where: AAMI Stadium

Last week Adelaide managed to pull off a shock win against a Carlton team who had been touted as premiership contenders and have also been favourites for the majority of the season so far.

Patrick Dangerfield once again stood up for the Crows, showing his dominance around the ball. Dangerfield managed to pick up 35 disposals and was a key reason as to why the Crows were able to get over the line. Adelaide came into this season with a new coach, new mentality, new gameplan and a very new attitude. People within the club were said to be happy with a slight improvement on last season where they only managed to win 7 games, 2 of those being the competition newcomers Gold Coast.

It is safe to say that Adelaide has shocked everyone with their fantastic start to the 2012 season, they have managed to beat Carlton quite comprehensively and embarrassed reigning premiers Geelong by 50 points.

Collingwood have come off the back of a hard fought victory in the Grand Final rematch, where the game was decided in the closing minute with a very controversial 50 metre penalty awarded to Alex Fasolo, which gave him a set shot to put Collingwood up by 6 points.
