Goldsack’s tackle

lingers

 

 

 

no moon

the ball lost

in the lights

 

 

 

fallen leaves

the Blues lose

their way

 

 

 

deep autumn

a drop punt from 50

has a sound to it

 

 

 

shooting star

the substitute

sells a dummy

 

 

 

blowout

I stretch my legs

under the empty seats

    Perceptive and elegant as always HB. I love the way haiku leaves things dangling for the reader to insert their own perception.
    “I stretch my legs – under the empty seats”. Small crowd? Bad weather? I think not.
