wet autumn night
the players soaked
in adrenaline
floodlit stadium…
the rain swirls
into itself
a rainy evening
blurs into night
we miss another goal
Pendles
sidesteps in the rain…
a lullaby
newly engaged
we celebrate each goal
with a kiss
filling the silence
between goals…
sweet nothings
tense win —
learning to live
with a crowd
