Round 23 – Four teams to fight out final 8 spot: Who will it be?

Round 23

Sydney v St Kilda   15 v 14

North Melbourne v Melbourne  12 v 17

Geelong v Carlton   2 v 16

GCS v GWS   18 v 6

WCE v Hawthorn   3 v 9

Western Bulldogs v Adelaide  8 v 10

Richmond v Brisbane  4 v 1

Port Adelaide v Fremantle  11 v 13

The AFL could not have asked for a better end to the Home & Away season than the one happening this weekend.

The top 7 spots in the 8 are fixed with the final spot to be fought out by 4 teams.

WB v Adel are playing each other, a must win for either team; PA need to defeat Freo, and Haw need to account for WCE.

However, if the Bulldogs win, it’s game over for Adel, PA and Freo; if they don’t win then it all comes down to percentage to determine that 8thspot.

Richmond have been in fine form in recent weeks, and Brisbane will be keen to maintain their top position, so it will be interesting to see if the Lions are the real deal or not.

Essendon have struggled against the Pies in recent years and will be keen to continue with their turn around form from last week.  Should be a cracker!

Can Carlton pull off an upset at Kardinia Park? The Cats have only won 2 of their last 5 games while the Blues have won 3 of their past 5 games. Who knows? This could be one of the upsets of the season.

A lot of supporters will be glued to their TVs this weekend.
