Round 21 – Footy fixture for this round: Must win games for Finals aspirants!

Round 21

GWS v Hawthorn    5 v 12

Melbourne v Collingwood   17 v 6

Port Adelaide v Sydney  9 v 15

Brisbane v Gold Coast Suns  3 v 18

Essendon v Western Bulldogs  7 v 10

Geelong v North Melbourne  1 v 13

St Kilda v Fremantle  14 v 11

Richmond v Carlton   4 v 16

West Coast Eagles v Adelaide   2 v 8

The Eagles and the Crows are the only teams in the 8 playing one another this weekend. This is a game the Crows need to win if they are to maintain their tenuous grip on a spot in the 8.

With PA, the Western Bulldogs, and the Dockers just outside the 8 on 36 points each, all will be keen to win and stake their claim into the 8, particularly if the Crows lose to the Eagles.

The Bulldogs must win against Essendon if they are to make the 8. The Bombers cannot afford to drop another match with a couple of tough encounters for the last two rounds coming up. They will be very keen to maintain their position in the 8 even though they have been decimated with injuries making them look very susceptible. The Bulldogs always seem to have had the wood on the Bombers so it will be an interesting encounter.

The Power after their impressive win against the Bombers last round will be very confident of accounting for a disappointing Sydney.

The Dockers, who knows? So up and down. Which Dockers team will come and play against the Saints? The Dockers have everything to play for.

These games will be watched with interest and bated breaths as teams strive for a spot in the final 8.
