Round 18 – Haiku Bob: the other side of the clouds
September defeat—
the new normal
of nothing new
lockdown footy—
the glow of the TV
across the street
crescent moon—
again we hang our hopes
on Pendlebury
can’t find the ball—
the moon on the other side
of the clouds
falling behind—
the dog curls
into itself
goals dry up—
I give the plants
a soaking
spring solstice—
we lose to the top team
and make the finals
