Haiku Bob reports (lateish) from the south east coast of Sweden where the sun (much like the Suns) refuses to die.
lapping waves
news of Ablett’s injury
reaches farther shores
a spider’s web
secures the tent flap
our defense stretched
shoreline creep
the boundary line
too close
a spider crawls
into the tent
we kick in panic
tripping on waves
Collingwood
when they get the ball
crowded beach
no way of finding
the full forward
unwashed dishes
players in the last minute
higgledy piggledy
afternoon shadows
news filters through
of a Collingwood defeat
sand underfoot
we lose ground
on the top 4
