undaunted
by the narrow defeat
I pour another wine
winter clouds ~
the occasional piece
of good play
dusk ~
De Goey weaves
through the lines
scores level
at the last break ~
half moon
nightfall ~
slowly our hopes
snuffed out
brittle leaves ~
a make or break kick
drifts wide
heading to the exit ~
the mix of chatter
with silence
