  1. Pamela Sherpa says

Pic 2 . Cars on fence, gum trees, green pasture in background, sign boards advertising meat and cars, classic ruck contest with rovers waiting – has it all.

  2. Mark Duffett says

Yes, agreed with Pamela – and not just because a long time ago I played under 12s for the Hawks.

  3. They’re all beautifully clear and revealing.
The old tap ruckman in me likes #1. What a leap. I imagine the ball being palmed down the throat of a marauding ruck-rover who breaks a tackle and boots it long.
    Sheep on the hill behind.
Gumboots of yer young one walking a lap.
    Well captured, Peter.

  4. PA,

Which ground is the home page photo taken at?

Love the pics. That country is beautiful and always reminds me of Dad and Mum.

  5. Mark 'Swish' Schwerdt says

Beaut shots of some beaut country Peter but I’m not sure about some of the cartoon characters on the jumpers. Whatever happened to sashes, monograms and yokes?

Will there be a nostalgic return to “old synthetic sublimated footy jumpers” in thirty years or so?
