Ode to Head
Merv is fond of AB’s ear.
Boonie loves to sink a beer.
Some prefer a wine instead,
but everyone loves Head.
Some like Smudge when he is on.
Some are partial to the Don.
Some are not, but like I said,
everyone loves Head.
Give it to em, Travis.
Give it to em, Trav.
Stick it up these Pommies.
Stuff em all with pav.
Smash their shit into the stands,
and send em back to Pommyland.
Dougie likes to suck a dart.
Deano likes to field SunSmart.
Warnie likes baked beans on bread.
but everyone loves Head.
We love when Gilly goes berserk,
or watching Punter get to work.
Or Thommo with his steely gaze.
But Head is what we crave.
Give it to em, Travis.
Give it to em, Trav.
Stick it up these Pommies.
Stuff em all with pav.
Smash their shit into the stands,
and send em back to Pommyland.

Fine work Damian. You speak the truth.
Wonderful prose Damian. The Bard himself (Kevin Bloody Wilson) could not have done it better.
Superb Damian
Well played, Damo. And so true.
Cheers, all. Trav is the gift that keeps on giving.
Superb Damo!
Funny.
Reads like a good lyrics for a song.
The above comment got me thinking of doing short lyrics for a song about Travis Head.
To be sung to the tune of “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head”, by B.J. Thomas:
A Test opener now keeps fallin’ on Travis Head.
And although he doesn’t move his feet,
He hits boundaries instead.
It all seems to fit.
A Test opener keeps fallin’ on Travis Head.
It’s now his callin’.
:)
Myron, DB might consider offering the lyrics to The Radiators.
