Colin Lovitt, now retired QC, Criminal Defense Barrister of 45 years has had about 200 Murder Trials. He was Chair of The Criminal Bar Association (Vic), also working on high profile cases in WA, and also worked in Qld, infamously calling a Qld magistrate a cretin.

Colin is now busy working on a book due out “soon” that should make for a very interesting read.

He successfully defended Greg Domaszewicz on the now, 20 year old cold case murder of Jayden Leskie. He successfully defended Mark “Chopper” Read on a murder charge and successfully defended Graeme Slater, Gypsy Joker sergeant-at-arms, of murdering former Perth CIB chief & his Bookie friend with a car bomb outside the retired detective’s house. Colin successfully defended Ray Bennett (mastermind of The Great Bookie Robbery) and 2 others of the 1978 murder of Painter & Docker Les Kane. His book will no doubt provide more detail. Colin & Percy have a long association via the Carlton Football & Cricket clubs, and Colin has been a long time customer at “Percy’s”.
