Stumpy Laird – such an underrated player I saw him in 1981 at the SCG against the might of the Windies in a one dayer just hung in there and I bet was covered in bruises when he came off after top scoring with 80 odd
and of course Skull what a legend would you have him or the GOAT or Rowdy as the spinning option

  14. “The Big Ship” is the greatest ever cricket nickname

  15. “Gus” Gilmour

  16. Fred “The Demon” Spofforth

  17. Sounda Peter Sleep,TBA name Timothy Brian Alexander May nickname TBA to be announced,May
    Ferg Bob Massie

  18. ‘Al Pal’, Connolly merits consideration.

What was Ian Davis’s nickname ? It was based on the wizard of ID cartoon, but i can’t recall if he was called ‘Wizard’ or ‘Id’.

    Anyone remember?

    Glen!
