Does Peter Argent have a love child?
The next Keith Miller – Redback Kane Richardson has a short one on track for Tassie Tiger Mark Cosgrove’s head.
But PA seems to have a wandering eye.
19yo Redback batsman Travis Head clips elegantly off his pads.
Travis ducks quicker than Mark Cosgrove.
“Bugger” – Travis caught behind by Tim Paine off Luke Butterworth for 98. Travis has made 9 50’s in 18 first class matches, but triple figures still eludes. Out for 98 in the first innings of successive Shield matches. Frustrating but must augur well for the future.

Wonder if Travis Head is related to Lindsay Head the great West Torrens footballer of the fifties and sixties. If he is and is half as good at cricket at Lindsay was at footy (3 Magarey Medals, captained South Australia in at least one interstate match; this is when they were still played) he will be a ripper, looks pretty damned good so far. Definitely one to watch.
If he is related, he would be at least Lindsay’s grandson. Lindsay also played Sheffield Shield cricket for South Australia in the days when sportsmen could play both sports at the highest level.
Lindsay had a short
attempt at VFL, but was not successful.
In today’s football Lindsay would be one of the top ten footballers in the competition. The modern game would have been right up his ally.
