Jake Lever Leaving

The Adelaide Crows are seething.
Rundle Mall is sad.
They say that Lever’s leaving,
and Tex is bloody mad.

But with a name like ‘Lever’
perhaps we should have guessed
that the tall defender
was bound to leave the nest.

So please don’t call it treason,
and please don’t call it theft.
Jake Lever is leaving.
Jake Lever left.

  1. Kevin Densley says

Yeah, DB – good one, both amusing and technically adroit!

  2. Dan Hansen says

I’m sure Brisbane supporters are looking forward to your poem about Daniel McStay.

  3. DAN HOBAN says

And i guess Collingwood supporters will not like the one about Jordan De Goey.

  4. DBalassone says

Thanks all. Ha ha, to McStay or to DeGoey, that is the question.
