Happy Queenslanders this weekend!
The Broncos set the tone Friday night. A typical rugby league encounter – big burly blokes bashing into one another for 80 minutes – ending in a tense 6-point victory. I was happy!
The young Suns, improving week to week, and with Ablett leading the way, held on in the last quarter to beat that happy team from Hawthorn. Yes! I was definitely happy!
Then, the even younger Lions roared louder than they have in years to obliterate Freo on Saturday. I was very happy!
Now, all we need is to win State of Origin next Wednesday night and I’ll definitely be an extremely happy sort-of-Queenslander!
