Haiku Bob – Round 4: belly flops and bintangs

Easter Sunday –
our full-forward continues
to be passed over
a set shot
from directly in front –
my Bintang sweats
another turnover –
last night’s Nasi Goreng
fighting back
chain of fumbled passes –
a long, lunging run
to the toilet
watching Collingwood –
my sunburnt face camouflages
in Bali
everything takes longer –
we finally kick a goal
Magpies go down –
a frangipani leaf belly flops
into the pool

  1. Stephen Goddard says

    If only the Pies
could play with some of the flair
    that flows from your pen

    Thanks Steve.
It was a pain in the rear end!
    Glad you liked it.

  3. Well did you like that Nasi Goreng? Might have try Rendang too! It’s delicious
