Footy IQ: How well do you know Adelaide’s footy ovals?
The well-known footy (and sometimes cricket) ovals scattered across Adelaide’s suburbs are far from identical and occasionally not quite ‘oval’ either.
To test just how unique they are, I’m wondering how many of you can recognize Adelaide’s footy ovals by their shape and orientation alone (and without looking at a map)?

Clues: North is ‘up’ and in alphabetical order the footy grounds are; Adelaide Oval, Alberton, Elizabeth, Football Park, Glenelg, Noarlunga, Norwood, Prospect, Richmond, Thebarton, Unley and Woodville.
Melbourne is next.

L is The Ponderosa
Love this post.
Has many applications.
Pick the golf course?
I think E is Prospect.
The straight edges are throwing me.
A is Unley, the rest look like pretty butterflies.
I think I’m getting a migraine.
Quick update: A, E & L have all be answered correctly.
If E is Prospect, then J must be Thebby
K is Adelaide Oval?
Spent half my bloody life there but do you reckon I know which one is Norwood? Is it I? Is D Woodville?
Norwood is F for mine.
Mike,
This is friggin brilliant.
And I’m with JTH – this application could have many varied uses
