Footy Almanac Podcast Grand Final Edition: Episode 19 – Podcasting Alfresco

With Matty Q and The People’s Elbow indisposed, Jake Norton of the Wandering Eye and Stone Cold Steve Baker were in the pilot’s seats this week.

We were joined by Nick Bowen from AFL.com.au and long time Almanacker, first-time podcaster Chris Bracher for our Grand Final week podcast.

Given Melbourne’s unseasonal heat as we prepped to hit the record button, we gave the couches at podcast HQ a spell, put the beers on ice, grabbed the insect spray and set up base camp on the decking on a glorious inner-Melbourne evening and chatted alfresco.

We got way too much sense from Nick about Saturday’s Grand Final. Chris talked about his love for the Bloods and some of the challenges of being president of an over35s football club.

Jake and Steve threw up the Brownlow for discussion and we all talked about some of our favourite Grand Final week traditions.

Lunching for Australia, this is your Footy Almanac podcast.
