Brickies down by a point! A draw in the first game, a loss in the second, don’t you want to win! We’ll be baying for the coach’s blood if there isn’t some improvement next week, and that improvement must be a win!
Bad loss for the Pivots. Sack the coach.
Nice to see the Cathedral Crows on top while the Alberton Magpies are bottom. Virtual, confected or imagined, this is excellent (not that we find joy in the suffering of others!).

One of the joys of a virtual footy league is that individuals can make their own meaning and can locate a team as desired (to a degree). Somewhat egocentrically I assumed the Broady Grommets might be based in Glenelg South, but of course Broadbeach sits bang in the middle of the Gold Coast and is more likely to be home to grommets given there’s rarely any surf down the bay, adjacent to the Broady pub. Ah, the inclusive joys of nomenclature mean the southern Queenslanders and Glenelg citizens and supporters are all happy. Doubtless, JTH considered all of this!
Unfortunately there’s an error in the ladder, and to my distress it is an inflation of the North Fitzroy (Ahem) Blues win-loss ratio. While I’m gloating over the victory against the Same Olds, the Blues unfortunately lowered their colours to the Tigers of All Nations and the Barkly Bulldogs (clearly we wuz robbed given the 3 point margin). I’m expecting the streak – one in a row – to continue against the show ponies from Sydney.
You’ve got to be kidding me!!!! Brickies down by 2 points. We’ve had a win, a draw and two losses (by 1 and 2 points). Un-bloody-believeable. Royal Commission, please.
