Balcony Banter: The Maiden Summer

The 2021/22 Women’s Ashes series concluded last week with a comprehensive win to the Australians.

 

Recently on its members’ blog Balcony Banter, Nick Richardson recalled the first tour of Australia by an English women’s team in 1934/35. It was an eagerly anticipated tour following the infamous Bodyline series in the men’s Ashes just a few years previously.
