Balcony Banter – Seasonal Superstition

Players have their superstitions when it comes to preparing for a game – right sock first, then right boot, left sock, left boot, lucky red jocks and so on. Supporters look for omens about their team’s chances – what colour shorts are we wearing, which ground, what time, have I got my lucky scarf?

In a recent post on the MCC’s blog Balcony Banter, Lynda Carroll explored some of the superstitions that have been a part of her extended family’s history.
