Balcony Banter: On being the Captain



Hugh Jones has taken in a lot of Test matches at the MCG over the past 50 years. He was there recently for the Boxing Day match against South Africa.


As SA captain Dean Elgar was dismissed cheaply (again!) to a feather down the leg side, Hugh’s mind went back to his experiences leading the Williamstown Colts Fifths. His reflections led to a comparison of the responsibilities of team captains at various levels of the game.
