Hurlingham Park
Braham Dabscheck recalls a childhood of shattering the Donath’s dining room windows with sweetly-timed leg-side pull shots in street cricket, competing against mates and neighbours at the hallowed grounds of Hurlingham Park in Melbourne’s bayside suburbs, which sorted the men out from the boys and creating lifelong friendships and memories in equal measure.
The Early Days Of The VFL Players’ Association
Around this time last year John Harms published a fortieth year anniversary history of the AFL/VFL Players’ Association. His research was aided enormously by the early work of Braham Dabscheck, an academic who went on to be a leader in the area of understanding player associations, organisations, and unions (around the world).
