Australia v Pakistan – Second Test: Writer’s call up

After an outstanding First Test victory Australia looks set to repeat the dose against Pakistan  in the Second Test, a day-night game in Adelaide commencing 29th November.

In a crowded summer schedule, there will also be a three test series against New Zealand, who have been given the rare opportunity of a Boxing Day test.

Dates for the test summer are as follows:

Aus v Pak

1st Test – Brisbane: November 21-25

2nd Test – Adelaide (D/N): November 29-December 3

Aus v NZ

1st Test – Perth (D/N): December 12-16

2nd Test – Melbourne: December 26-30

3rd Test – Sydney: January 3-7

As it always has, The Footy Almanac provides the opportunity for you to have your say. Pakistan usually make for the most unpredictable of opponents. New Zealand currently sit 2nd on the ICC Test rankings. Neither has much record of success in Australian conditions, but will Australia be able to follow up its retention of the Ashes with home success this time?

We’re opening nominations for Adelaide. Want to get in touch with your inner Gideon Haigh? Want to show Geoff who’s the real Lemon? Reckon you can teach Sam Perry the real meaning of champ?

Here’s your chance. Please form an orderly queue.

  1. I’ll be writing when time allows. Will try to do day 1.

Our opponent being Pakistan, all things are possible.

  2. Will be in attendance at all days of the first 4 Tests. See the day’s live on The Footy Almanac.

CB, always look forward to your coverage. :)

    Enjoy.

  4. I’ll probably only get there on Day 1, much to my enduring shame. A best XI will come out in preparation, however
