   This article and analysis by Tony Ward is as enlightening an article about footy as you are going to read. The Almanac would do well to build its own presence in respect of the demographic changes noted within.

   I would be interested to know from Tony whether the growth in footy attendance by females is across all teams or if some teams are seeing greater growth than others and what that might indicate.

   In the meantime, as has been noted in Almanac articles along the way, if you haven’t gone to see a women’s (or girl’s) footy match then do yourself a favour.

   Footy is well and truly alive but in ways that will shape it that you might not even understand. Cheers
