The title of this article got me thinking about doing a football team where each player has a surname of a well known author.
The criteria is that the surname can only be used once. Peter Wright (Writer) was the exception and he was included to strengthen the team.
The spelling of the surname doesn’t need to be the same, as long as it’s similar or sounds the same.
A few players had the exact name of a famous author.
Some players were played out of position to be included in the team.
This is the VFL/AFL Team of Authors:
