AFL
Round 4 and Kangas remain the only unbeaten team, leaving Freo winless. Hawks continue their lucky streak with another close shave, this time against the brave Saints, Melbourne shows it is capable with a good win against the soul less magpies, Crows hold on in an Adelaide thriller against the Swannies, Doggies retain their sexiness without Murph and suffer further injuries, Giants thump Port, Brisbane remind the plucky Suns with a who’s your daddy performance, Cats rule the farm and Tigers, well they continue to be unimpressive.

A-League:
First round of Finals action and heartbreak for two teams, Victory and Glory, both experiencing neither this year.
With minutes remaining in their contest and Victory ahead, Brisbane managed to crush Victory’s hearts with a come from behind win. One minute into injury time, Thomas Broich headed the winner to the back of the net and Victory can now concentrate on becoming Asian Champions and Brisvegas Roar heads south to meet the Wonderers.
Uruguayan Bruno Fornaroli scored a spectacular brace lifting Melbourne City over Perth and it is now a long flight home for Glory while City will travel to Adelaide to meet the Spanish inquisition and the Bruces.

Perth 19yo shooting 64 in the final round to win by a stroke on the LPGA Tour was my highlight. And the dramas of the Foxes win. Being sans Foxtel means watching the text updates on the Golf Channel and BBC sport apps. Waiting for the next update is like waiting for the next telegram from Blighty with the Test score updates in the 30’s. Plus’ ce change.
Oh – and the Dockers, Pies and Tigers losing. Good for football
