Almanac Television: ABC TV – ‘Close to the Bone’

 

 

Long time time reader of the Footy Almanac – and occasional contributor, Malcolm McKinnon (Social historian, documentary and multi-media maker), in conjunction with Jared Thomas, have been making a film over the past few years, exploring legacies of frontier violence. It examines whether the atrocities of the past can be healed through the act of truth telling, or if the rifts be widened.

 

‘Close to the Bone’ will be broadcast on ABC2 (channel 22) this coming Sunday, 24 July at 7.30pm, and then on ABC1 (channel 2 and channel 20) at 6.30pm on Sunday 31 July and again at 11am on Sunday 7 August. It’ll also be available for streaming on ABC iView for several weeks from this Sunday night.
