Almanac Teams: Arrivals and Departures (Port Adelaide)

This year for football teams I have gone back to a theme. A team of Arrivals and Departures at each club. I hope the teams go down well.

The criteria for each team

  • Based each team of players from 1980 onwards;
  • Have tried to put a player in from each of the remaining 18 teams, including Fitzroy on most occasions;
  • Have tried to be as balanced as possible, though the interchange regardless of balance will be next best four players;
  • The player is based on from previous club and to immediate next club;
  • Stats are based on the club and for arrivals, the immediate club before and for departures, the immediate club after;
  • The Arrivals team is based on the performance at the club, while Departures is based on the performance at their new club.

If I’ve missed anyone, please advise, and please enjoy.

The highlights of the team are three players have come from Adelaide and also Port has traded three players back.

Port Adelaide also received four players from Fitzroy. There is no love with fellow Magpies Collingwood with just one player coming from Collingwood and no players back the other way.

  1. Rulebook says

    Huge respect for how much research goes in to these sides -Rodney Gus Monfries v unlucky to only be a emergency and personally – Carr in the middle,Gavin Wanganeen in the back pocket

  2. Fair point Rulebook, probably liked Wanganeen for a bit of class. To be honest I really probably didn’t put Monfries in as had a few ex Bombers already. Thanks for reading.
