Almanac Podcasts : Breakfast With The Goodfellas

From the legendary Turtle Café in Elwood, the Goodfellas convene for some breakfast and soccer talk.

This week, the lads chat about the Asian Cup Quarter Final and the joy of having Roy Hay contribute to the Almanac while the Cup is on.

Vaughan and Steve also delve into the murky world of multiculturalism and sport, while showing some love for Tim Cahill, The Rock, Zeno Tzatsaris, Joskun Aziz and Athas Hyrsoulakis. As Triple/Double J turns 40, the lads take a trip down memory lane and recall some of the life-altering music the J’s introduced into their lives like Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, the Rollins Band and Spiderbait.

  1. Phillip Dimitriadis says

Stone Cold and Dr Cruel, pronunciations of Kokkinakis and Hrysoulakis immaculate. Ch7 need to hire you for elocution lessons. Good stuff.

  2. Thanks Phil! We have both had fantastic teachers along the way. There was a running joke for a while that the Doc was secretly Greek and that Vaughan Menlove was just his nom-de-plume. You should hear him say Dean Anastasiadis!
